About AeroInk
For most of its existence, AeroInk was the self-employment vehicle for writer, editor, photographer, and marketing communications professional Kim Rosenlof, who specialized in producing written materials and developing training courses for the general and business aviation industry.
An FAA-certificated private pilot in fixed-wing and lighter-than-air aircraft, Kim has served many professional and volunteer positions in the aviation industry ranging from Media Relations Coordinator for the Copperstate EAA Fly-in during the late 1990s to the editor of the Aviation Insurance Association's "The Binder" publication in the early 2020s.
Kim had also earned the rank of Fellow in the Society for Technical Communication (STC) in 2022 before the 80-year-old organization closed in 2025.
Technical Expertise
Documentation Development
Kim designed, developed and produced technical, user and training documentation for aviation, software and other industries for delivery in print, online and ePub formats.
Pre-AI Era Skills
In the era before AI, Kim completed instructional design projects from concept to publication in Articulate Studio, MS Powerpoint, Adobe Captivate and other tools. She also worked with teams of developers on projects in Flash and HTML 5.
Aviation Marketing and Social Media
Starting as a contractor through AeroInk, Kim served as the marketing coordinator/manager for Van Horn Aviation from 2010 through 2025. During that time she was responsible for creating print and online advertising and marketing materials, creating imagery and posts on the company's website, and overseeing the company's social media presence on various platforms. Kim shot still and video images for use in slideshows and videos for web and trade show use. She also served as media relations for the company, writing and disseminating press releases, and working with various contacts in the aviation media.
